Cornerback Cameron Sutton’s recent misdemeanor battery charge has led him to enter a pretrial diversion program. Despite this, he remains determined to find a new team to play for in 2024. In fact, Sutton recently met with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and General Manager Omar Khan, signaling his interest in rejoining the team where he was a 2017 third-round pick.

Prior to joining the Lions as a free agent last year, Sutton played for the Steelers for several seasons and accumulated impressive stats including 168 tackles, eight interceptions, two sacks, five forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. However, he was released by the Lions following a warrant issued for his arrest in March.

As Sutton navigates his legal troubles and looks for a new football home, he is focused on making a fresh start and continuing his career in the NFL. His meeting with the Steelers organization suggests that he may be looking to return to familiar territory and rejoin his former team.
