Omaha, Nebraska was the site of intense action as the 2024 College World Series continued with two games from the bottom half of the bracket. The day began with an elimination game between Florida and NC State, followed by an evening matchup between Kentucky and Texas A&M.

Florida emerged victorious in the first game, defeating NC State 5-4. NC State scored first with an RBI single in the first inning, but in the second inning, Florida took control with a sacrifice fly and a three-run home run by Jac Caglianone. NC State responded with a two-run homer in the third, but Florida added another run in the fifth. Pitchers Jake Clemente and Brandon Neely held NC State to just one hit in the final four innings to secure victory.

Meanwhile, Kentucky and Texas A&M were locked in a battle for survival as they faced off in an evening matchup scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. Both teams were determined to advance to the next round and keep their title hopes alive. The winner of this game would move on to face Florida, while the loser would face Florida in another elimination game on Tuesday.

The College World Series action continued to heat up as teams fought for their spot atop the leaderboard and a chance to claim the championship trophy.
