Jasper’s Restaurant in South Kansas City marked 70 years in business on April 1. The Italian eatery, located near 103rd and State Line Road, is a treasured staple in the community. Owner Jasper Mirabile expressed his gratitude for the tremendous support they have received over the years, with the anniversary celebration being completely sold out.

The Monday night celebration at Jasper’s will feature a special menu featuring classic dishes that have been beloved favorites for decades. Mirabile shared that while his father, who founded the restaurant, is no longer with us, he believes he would be proud of the success and loyalty that has been achieved.

The Mirabile family has a long history of giving back to the Kansas City community through initiatives like their annual lemonade sale for rare disease research and fundraisers for fallen officers. Despite facing challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jasper’s managed to weather the storm thanks to the unwavering support of their customers.

Mirabile looked back on how uncertain it was whether Jasper’s would make it to its 70th anniversary during those trying times. He acknowledged that it was the dedication of their staff and loyal patrons that helped them overcome adversity and reach this milestone. As they celebrate this achievement, Mirabile thanked everyone who had been a part of Jasper’s journey over the years.
