On Wednesday night, a lifelong Dodgers fan named Ambar Roman had an unforgettable experience when she caught Shohei Ohtani’s first home run as a Dodger. The impressive 430-foot hit in the bottom of the seventh inning helped the team secure a 5-4 victory over the Giants.

After catching the ball, Roman was approached by security who expressed interest in rewarding her for her catch. She was escorted near the bullpen to speak with team officials, who informed her that Ohtani wanted his first home run ball back and was willing to trade for it. Despite wanting Ohtani to sign the ball, Roman was told that he wouldn’t sign if she kept it, and the team wouldn’t authenticate it.

Feeling pressured, Roman ultimately traded the home run ball for two hats, a ball, and a bat – all signed by Ohtani. She expressed disappointment as a Dodger fan, hoping for more in return. She mentioned that she would have preferred dugout seats, a signed jersey, or the opportunity to meet Ohtani.

The estimated value of the home run ball is $100,000. KTLA reached out to the Dodger organization for comment but has yet to receive a response.
