Germany is feeling confident as they prepare to face Spain in the European Championship quarter-final, according to Captain Ilkay Gündogan. Despite Spain being highly respected, Gündogan believes that Germany has qualities that match up well against the Spanish team.

Gündogan, who plays for FC Barcelona, mentioned that his club teammates Lamine Yamal and Pedri will be opponents in the upcoming match in Stuttgart. He praised 16-year-old player Yamal as an “extremely special” talent but noted that he still has much to learn, particularly in defensive movements. Gündogan emphasized that the team that handles not having possession of the ball better will have a significant advantage in the match on Friday.

In terms of form, performances in the tournament, attractiveness, and efficiency, Gündogan believes that both teams are among the top teams. He stated that it will be crucial for both teams to perform well in handling transitions without possession.
