Dutch under-21 international Shurandy Sambo has joined Burnley on a four-year deal following his departure from PSV Eindhoven. The 22-year-old defender spent time on loan with Sparta Rotterdam after coming up through the ranks at PSV, where he helped them secure the Eredivisie title last season.

Sambo expressed his excitement about joining Burnley, stating that he instantly felt good about the move to Turf Moor. In a statement, he said, “I’m very happy to be here and I’m ready to show myself now. I chose Burnley because it’s a historic club with a good fan base and it was the right choice for me.” Sambo praised the coaching staff and his fellow players for helping him settle in quickly during his first week of training with the team.

Burnley’s signing of Sambo marks their first move in the summer transfer market as they look to build a squad capable of bouncing back to the Premier League following their relegation. The club is also in search of a new manager after Vincent Kompany’s departure for Bayern Munich. Sambo’s arrival adds depth to Burnley’s defensive lineup and provides them with a promising young talent to develop for the future.
