On the evening of April 14, 2024, gunfire erupted during an event held at a small strip mall in Brooklyn Park. The incident took place near the intersection of 85th and Xerxes avenues, prompting police to be called to the scene at 1:14 a.m. on April 15.

Upon arrival, officers discovered bullet holes in the front door and window of one of the businesses located in the mall. Several individuals who were present during the shooting were contacted by law enforcement officers and asked to leave the premises. Following this, detectives executed a search warrant on the business and uncovered three handguns.

Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
