John Brebbia, a White Sox pitcher, has been dealing with a string of bad luck when it comes to ninth-inning rain delays this season. This past May 4th, during a game against the Cardinals and the Blue Jays, he found himself once again facing a rain delay in the ninth inning.

Brebbia was not alone in his struggle. This wasn’t the first time he had experienced this kind of setback this season, leading him to believe that perhaps there was some sort of curse following him whenever he pitched in the ninth inning. Despite his frustration with the repeated delays, Brebbia kept a positive attitude and maintained a sense of humor about the situation.

The pitcher joked that perhaps his bad luck was just fate’s way of keeping him grounded. He refused to let these delays affect his performance on the field and continued to push through with determination. For Brebbia, it seemed that no matter what obstacles came his way, he would always find a way to overcome them.
