In Paris on Friday, a man was arrested at the Iran consulate after threatening to blow himself up. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect enter the premises with a grenade or explosive belt. The consulate requested an intervention, which led to the mobilization of an elite police unit. The whole neighborhood around the consulate in the 16th district was cordoned off for safety.
