The issue of recruits changing their minds after making commitments is a common occurrence in college football, not exclusive to USC. It’s frustrating for fans across the nation, and it’s something that has been happening for years. This article addresses the issue, as two recruits recently changed their minds and committed to another school.

Fans from various schools would find recruiting more interesting and less emotionally taxing if a simple rule was put in place. One solution proposes that recruits are not committed to a school as long as they continue to visit other schools. A designated date, known as “early commitment day,” would mark the official commitment period. This way, players would have more time to make informed decisions about where they want to play college football.

Another proposed solution is that players should not be allowed to transfer to multiple programs in a short period. Instead, they should only transfer once during the offseason and play for that school in the following season. Additionally, when a player commits to a school, they should not be able to change their commitment during the first year unless they wait until after their freshman season. This way, players would have more stability and focus on their college career instead of constantly changing schools.
