The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after participating in the World competition in Houston, Texas. The team earned a spot in the World competition by performing well in the state competition.

During the three-day tournament, the BraveBots competed on the Johnson Field and won their last seven games, finishing with a record of 8-2. They were the number 6 alliance captain and partnered with teams from North Carolina and California. Although they defeated the #3 alliance, they ultimately lost to the #7 alliance, who went on to win the tournament.

Coach Tim Barron commended the team for their hard work, particularly in scouting 125 games, and praised the senior members for their leadership. He expressed gratitude towards the mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to help the team succeed, acknowledging their importance in the team’s achievements. Despite saying farewell to graduating seniors, Barron is optimistic about the future of the BraveBots, thanks to the talented underclassmen on the team.
