Boone Health and Audrain County officials are set to collaborate on a comprehensive health plan for the county by signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on Friday. The NDA signing will take place at the Audrain County Courthouse at 2 p.m., with the aim of facilitating a thorough assessment of the healthcare needs of the community.

The collaboration between Boone Health and Audrain County officials through the NDA signifies an important step in their efforts to establish sustainable healthcare services for Audrain County and surrounding areas. Audrain County Health Department Administrator/CEO Craig Brace expressed that this agreement is an essential step in their mission to provide quality healthcare services to the community, and he highlighted Boone Health’s reputation as a regional health system known for delivering high-quality outcomes.

Following the closure of Noble Health’s community hospitals in Audrain and Callaway counties in March 2022, Audrain County has been without a hospital. Ziva Medical, the current owner of the hospitals, has indicated its intention to reopen the facilities. Boone Health presently operates two primary care centers in Mexico and provides healthcare services in 26 counties across mid-Missouri.
