BMW Group and Rimac Technology have announced a long-term partnership to develop and manufacture high-voltage battery systems for BMW Group vehicles. This collaboration is a significant milestone for Rimac Technology, as it marks the company’s largest and most ambitious project to date.

To support this partnership, Rimac Technology will establish complex and large automated production lines for batteries at the new Rimac Campus near Zagreb. The campus will be dedicated to this project, highlighting the company’s commitment to its partnership with the BMW Group.

Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Group, expressed his excitement about the partnership. He emphasized how his journey began with converting a BMW 3 series from 1984 into an electric car in his garage at the age of 20. He reflected on how Rimac Technology has evolved from a supplier of high-performance products for small series models to a manufacturer capable of handling large-scale projects like this one with the BMW Group.
