The Better Barrel Races Association recently concluded their annual World Finals at the Oklahoma City facility, crowning champions after several days of intense barrel racing. This event, held in April 2024, was highly anticipated by members of the association and did not disappoint.

Multiple qualifying races in various divisions such as futurity, derby, youth were held to make it appealing for all barrel racing enthusiasts. Participants made runs in the main coliseum and in “Barn 8” to qualify for the Classic Equine Finals. In the futurity division, World Champion Sherry Cervi clinched the title riding her 2019 AQHA mare, MP Meter My Fame. Riley Youngman and Foolish Eddie came in second with a combined time of 32.092 seconds.

Veteran talent Marne Loosenort from Hazel, Ky., emerged as the winner aboard PT Love Tabea Blazin with a time of 15.190 seconds in the Classic Equine Finals. McKinlee Paschal from Nome, Texas came in second with a time of 15.193 seconds. Other division winners included Laina Alley, Amanda Averett, Astrid LaRocque and Rebecca Stobaugh.
