Bill Nye the Science Guy will be headlining Eclipse-O-Rama 2024, a two-day camping festival hosted by The Planetary Society in Fredericksburg, Texas. Taking place on April 7 and 8, the festival is centered around space exploration and will feature a large eclipse viewing party. As an International Dark Sky Community, Fredericksburg is perfectly situated in the path of totality for the eclipse, with totality expected to last about 4 minutes and 25 seconds starting at 1:32:57 p.m. on Monday, April 8.

Eclipse-O-Rama 2024 promises to be a unique experience celebrating science and space exploration. Some of the other celebrity guests confirmed for the event include Tim Dodd (Everyday Astronaut), Bob Pflugfelder (Science Bob), Mark Rober (YouTuber), Heidi Hammel (Astronomer), Bethany Ehlmann (Planetary Society President), and Bruce Betts (Chief Scientist). The festival will kick off on Sunday at 11 a.m. with a welcome ceremony and continue with various science sessions, screenings, and more. On Monday, the eclipse party and livestream will start at 11 a.m., and the festival will conclude with a star-watching party late Monday.

Tickets for the event are $325 per person, with children 5 and under getting in for free. Additional options like a VIP welcome reception, dinner, and shower passes can be added on for an extra cost as well as accommodations such as hotels
