Bethlehem Catholic sophomore Keanu Dillard has earned a place on the U.S. Under-17 Freestyle wrestling team. He will be representing the United States of America in Amman, Jordan at the U-17 world championships from August 19-25.

Dillard, a two-time PIAA 2A champion, secured his spot on the team by winning the 55-kilogram (121 pounds) class at the U17 world team trials during the U.S. Open event in Las Vegas. In the final match, Dillard defeated Slater Hicks of Valencia, Calif., with a score of two bouts to zero in the best-of-three final. Dillard impressively did not allow any points, winning 6-0 and 4-0 against his opponent. His overall record for his sophomore year was an impressive 41-5.

This prestigious event is a testament to Dillard’s hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling. We congratulate him on this amazing achievement and wish him the best of luck in representing the United States on the world stage.
