Bethesda recently marked the 30th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls video game franchise, using the milestone to share updates on the upcoming installment, The Elder Scrolls 6. To commemorate the saga’s first game, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, Bethesda released a letter detailing the history of the series and providing some news about the upcoming title.

While The Elder Scrolls 6 is still in its early stages of development, Bethesda expressed excitement about returning to Tamriel and playing the first versions of the game. They did not reveal any specific information about the story or launch plans for The Elder Scrolls 6. Over the years, the saga has evolved with games like Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, which won Best Game at The Game Awards in 2011.

Aside from the main series, Bethesda has also released other titles like The Elder Scrolls Online and The Elder Scrolls: Blades for mobile devices. They are also working on projects like The Elder Scrolls: Castles, a castle builder game for smartphones. Bethesda expressed gratitude for their players’ support over the past 30 years and looks forward to continuing the saga for another 30 years.
