The Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly received a trade request from three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Trey Hendrickson. Despite being under contract for two more years with substantial salaries, Hendrickson is seeking more long-term security, which the Bengals have not been willing to offer. According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Bengals have told Hendrickson they will not move him.

This request comes after star wide receiver Tee Higgins also reportedly asked for a trade as he looks for a long-term deal. There have been no contract talks between Higgins and the Bengals in over a year, according to Schefter’s report.

In his three seasons with the Bengals, Hendrickson has accumulated 39.5 sacks, 34 tackles for loss, and 76 quarterback hits in 48 games. He had an outstanding season last year where he had 17.5 sacks, the second-most in the NFL, along with 16 tackles for loss and 25 quarterback hits. Hendrickson has also been selected to the Pro Bowl three times during his time with the team.
