Teven Jenkins, the offensive lineman of the Chicago Bears, is entering his final year of his rookie contract and has expressed his desire to secure a long-term extension with the team. However, negotiations have yet to begin between both parties.

Jenkins has played for the Bears since being selected with the 39th overall pick in 2021. Despite reaching out to the team, he has not had any contract discussions or offers presented to him. When asked about the possibility of a contract extension with the team, Jenkins stated that it is still uncertain.

Last season, Jenkins played some of his best football when he was healthy. He emphasized that staying healthy for all 17 games this season is his main focus. If he can achieve this goal, Jenkins will be in line for a significant second contract next year, whether with the Bears or another team.
