Bartlesville’s slow pitch softball team is set to compete in the 6A State Tournament, which will take place at OG&E Field at USA Hall of Fame Stadium. The Bruins, led by senior Allie Scullawl and Chelsea Goddard, are one of eight teams in the single-elimination tournament.

Scullawl has been Bartlesville’s everyday pitcher this season, while both players have excelled at the plate. Goddard has been particularly impressive, hitting .450 with three home runs and 12 RBI. Scullawl, meanwhile, has a 13-2 record with a 1.87 ERA and 125 strikeouts.

Head coach Kyle Minton is confident in his senior leaders and their ability to lead the team to success. Bartlesville has been on a winning streak in recent weeks, including impressive victories over Owasso in the Regional games leading up to the state tournament. Minton emphasizes the importance of maintaining consistency as the team moves forward to compete in the Final 8.

The first pitch of the game against Choctaw is scheduled for 10:00 in the morning at OG&E Field at USA Hall of Fame Stadium. Choctaw boasts a record of 25-3 for the season, making them a formidable opponent for Bartlesville. A victory will propel Bartlesville into the next round, where they will face the winner of Moore and Mustang at 1:00. However, a loss would mean the end of the Bruin’s season
