Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia has appointed Kris Doan as the President of Augusta Medical Group (AMG), starting on June 3. Doan comes from Health First, a $2 billion health system located in Melbourne, Florida, where he worked for 18 years and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Clint Merritt, the Chief Physician Executive/Chief Medical Officer of Augusta Health, highlighted Doan’s extensive leadership experience in healthcare and his ability to manage large multi-specialty practices, as well as lead initiatives for growth, innovation, and performance improvement.

Doan holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He expressed his excitement about joining Augusta Health and the AMG family, citing the organization’s strong provider presence and commitment to making a positive impact on the community. Doan looks forward to working towards enhancing the health and well-being of all individuals in the community.
