On Tuesday night, Argentine President Javier Milei will make his third trip to the USA to participate in a Jewish ceremony in Miami. During the event, he will be honored with the distinction of “Ambassador of Light” by the Chabad Lubavitch organization for his commitment to promoting freedom, hope, and positivity, as well as his support for Israel. The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at the Orthodox congregation headquarters in Bal Harbour.
In addition to the religious event, Milei has another important meeting planned during his time in the USA: a possible meeting with billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla and X (formerly Twitter). According to Argentine newspaper Clarion, Milei may meet with Musk at the Tesla factory in Texas after receiving an invitation from the businessman. Musk has expressed interest in investing in Argentina and has already made contacts with Milei before he officially took office.
Milei’s visit also includes a presentation at Florida International University and meetings with local businesspeople during his time in the USA. This trip comes after Starlink, a company under Musk’s ownership, was authorized to provide satellite internet to Argentina, and Musk expressed interest in investing in the country. Milei sees Musk as someone who will play an active role in shaping Argentina’s future.
