In the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, a lawsuit has been filed against Apple Inc. by Slyde Analytics LLC. The allegation in the lawsuit is that Apple is infringing on multiple smartwatch and watch touchscreen patents through the sale of its Apple Watch Ultra 2 and other products.

Slyde Analytics LLC, a non-practicing entity, claims that Apple is infringing on 11 of its patents which were issued on various dates between 2016 and 2024. These patents include technologies related to smartwatches with electronic displays and associated software.

The complaint accuses Apple of making and selling products that utilize the patented technologies without permission. Slyde Analytics LLC seeks damages and an injunction to prevent Apple from continuing to infringe on its patents.

It remains to be seen how this lawsuit will unfold in court and what implications it may have for the future of Apple’s smartwatch products. As of yet, Apple has not commented on the lawsuit.
