Noah Lyles is focused on achieving quadruple Olympic gold as he prepares for the 2024 Games in Paris. After making his 4x400m international debut at the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow, where the American team narrowly missed out on gold, Lyles is returning to his 100m roots in the Bahamas.

In order to secure four gold medals in Paris, Lyles will need to excel in a challenging combination of events, including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, as well as the 100m and 200m sprints. This ambitious goal has never been accomplished by any track star, not even the legendary Usain Bolt.

The only two men to have achieved four athletics golds at a single Games are nine-time Olympic champion Carl Lewis and four-time champion Jesse Owens. However, their tallies included a long jump title, whereas Lyles is aiming to win four sprint events.

In a March 2024 interview, Lyles explained that his decision to compete in multiple events was not for the headlines, but a serious pursuit of greatness. Despite facing tough competition in Glasgow, Lyles showcased his talent as the fastest third leg of all six teams, setting a strong foundation for his Olympic ambitions.
