Alessandra Keller, racing under the name Thomus Maxon, emerged victorious in the opening round short track race in Nové Město na Moravě. The race, consisting of seven laps on a short yet technical course in the Czech Republic, was filled with excitement from start to finish. Keller narrowly bested Pauline Ferrand Prevot in a thrilling final chase.

The race favorite, Puck Pieterse of Alpecin-Deceuninck, faced an early setback with a crash on the second lap, but managed to rally back to the front of the pack after a few laps. As the race entered its penultimate lap, Keller demonstrated her strength and skill by taking the lead and launching an attack from the front, setting her fastest lap in the process. She was able to create a significant gap before the chase group made a move in the final lap. Despite Ferrand Prevot’s efforts, Keller maintained her lead and crossed the finish line first.
