Liverpool football legend Alan Hansen has been discharged from the hospital after a recent illness. The former Scotland defender, who spent 14 years at Liverpool, received an outpouring of well wishes from fans and the football community.

During his time at Liverpool, Hansen won numerous titles including eight First Division titles, three European Cups, and two FA Cups. He is one of the club’s top 10 all-time appearances with a total of 620 matches and 17 major trophies under his belt.

The Hansen family released a statement thanking everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. They also expressed their gratitude to those who respected their privacy as Alan continues his recovery at home. His legacy at Liverpool is undeniable and he will always be remembered as one of the greatest defenders in the history of the game.

After retiring from professional football in 1991, Hansen transitioned into punditry and became a familiar face on BBC’s Match of the Day for over 20 years until his retirement in 2014.
