This offseason, Alabama has added standout big man Clifford Omoruyi from Rutgers to their roster for the 2024-25 season, strengthening their lineup. Omoruyi was ranked as the No. 13 player in CBS Sports’ Transfer Rankings and is known for his shot-blocking abilities, having recorded 93 blocks before the NCAA Tournament. Over his four seasons at Rutgers, he started 104 games and averaged 10.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 26 minutes per game.

Alabama’s head coach Nate Oats and his staff have been busy this offseason, with Omoruyi joining Aden Holloway from Auburn, Chris Youngblood from USF, and Houston Mallette from Pepperdine. These transfers add to the Crimson Tide’s roster as they adjust to the departure of six players from their Final Four roster from the previous season, including Mohamed Wague, Nick Pringle, and Sam Walters.

In addition to these transfers, Alabama also boasts a top recruiting class for the upcoming season with five-star center Derrion Reid leading the way. Reid is followed by four-star forward Aiden Sherrell and four-star guard Labaron Philon as well as four-star forward Naas Cunningham. This influx of new talent sets up Alabama for a strong campaign in the upcoming season as they aim to build on their recent success and make a run for another championship title.

With these additions to their roster and talented recruits on board, Alabama is looking forward to a successful campaign in the upcoming season. The Crimson Tide will face stiff competition but with their solid lineup and skilled players they are ready to take on any challenge that comes their way.
