Akira Carson, a fashion designer known for her work with men, women, and children as well as shoes and accessories, is relocating her business to downtown Bryan. She will be opening the AK Carson Design Studio on the second floor of the Parker Astin building on June 1st.

Carson expressed her excitement about taking this leap of faith to pursue her dreams. Her family played a significant role in helping her set up her new studio, even hand-painting the floor with the assistance of her husband, children, and father.

The new studio will have three separate areas for retail, sewing, and embroidery. Carson’s designs have been featured in various places, including Reed Arena and WNBA player Angel Reese was seen wearing one of her bomber jackets.
