However, some experts predict massive job loss accompanied by professional obsolescence, while others believe AI will create new, more qualifying job opportunities. The impact of AI may be greater in certain sectors and could disproportionately affect certain categories of workers, such as older workers, less specialized workers, and female workers. Pope Francis recently highlighted the importance of politics taking responsibility to prevent private entities from gaining control over activities of public interest, as seen in the banking and internet sectors.

The current geostrategic competition between NATO, China, and Russia raises questions about reaching international standards for regulating AI, including banning weapons capable of self-determination. Legislative initiatives at the national and EU level regarding AI are being evaluated, with some concerns about the effectiveness and scope of these regulations. The introduction of a label to distinguish companies that make “ethical” use of AI based on established principles is seen as a positive step towards responsible use of this technology. However, the effectiveness of such a label depends on its implementation and verification processes to ensure companies adhere to ethical standards in their AI use.
