Factors that make individuals more susceptible to spinal spurs include aging, chronic spinal arthritis, previous injuries, and an unhealthy lifestyle. These factors can lead to conditions like spinal stenosis, which can cause pain and numbness in various parts of the body, depending on the location of the spurs.

Early detection of spinal stenosis is crucial for successful treatment. Dr. Tri recommends that individuals over 30 undergo periodic spine checks to catch any issues early. Living a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a proper diet and engaging in appropriate physical activity can help strengthen the spine and reduce the risk of developing spinal stenosis or other related conditions like herniated discs or osteoarthritis.

If left untreated, these conditions can limit mobility and potentially result in disability.
