In January 2024, SGMC Health launched its podcast “What Brings You in Today?” to great success. The podcast, which features seasoned physicians and medical professionals discussing important healthcare issues directly with the public, has been a valuable addition to the health system’s community outreach efforts. Since its launch, the podcast has released eight episodes, with the award-winning episode titled “What Brings You In Today – Ep. 5” earning a Gold Award in the Podcast Episode category at the 2024 Hermes Creative Awards.
The episode featured Joseph Hayes, MD, an Internal Medicine physician, and was praised for its insightful discussions on various health-related topics such as googling symptoms, supplements, anxiety, excessive sweating, and the importance of having a primary care provider.
