Accenture has completed its third acquisition in Italy within a year by acquiring Fibermind, a company specializing in telecom consulting and network engineering services. With 400 employees and headquarters in Rovigo, Fibermind is known for its expertise in fiber and mobile 5G networks deployment, as well as infrastructure engineering services. The company serves clients in various sectors, such as telecommunications, utilities, and transportation, and has established relationships with national authorities and municipalities.

This acquisition will allow Accenture to offer comprehensive network engineering services that prioritize quality, innovation, and cost management for clients. According to Mauro Macchi, president and CEO of Accenture in Italy, this addition demonstrates the company’s dedication to investing in strategic acquisitions that support client transformations in key Italian industries. Fibermind will now be integrated into Accenture Operations, bringing its skills in network design, permits management, technical office and local directive project management office work, network acceptance testing, network documentation, and home connection.

Roberto Pagella who leads Accenture Operations in Italy emphasized the benefits of adding Fibermind’s expertise to their telecommunications network engineering services. This acquisition is part of Accenture’s ongoing strategy to expand in Italy through acquisitions – earlier this year the firm acquired Intellera Consulting and late 2023 added AI specialist Ammagamma.
