PGBank has recently seen significant changes in its personnel, with the resignation of Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh To and independent member of the Board of Directors, Nguyen Thanh Lam. These changes come just days before the bank’s annual shareholder meeting, scheduled for this weekend.

Mr. To’s resignation was effective from May 21, citing personal reasons for his departure. He had worked at PGBank for over 14 years and requested termination of his labor contract. Shortly after, Mr. Lam also resigned for personal reasons, although he is set to join the board of directors later in October 2023.

The continuous changes in personnel began after Vietnam Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) divested all 40% of its capital contribution at PGBank in mid-March. In response to this change, the bank appointed three new deputy general directors: Tran Van Luan, Le Van Phu, and Nguyen Trong Chien.

After an extraordinary shareholder meeting in October 2023, Pham Manh Thang was elected as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors while Dao Phong Truc Dai became Vice President of the bank. The bank will undergo a name change and become Prosperity and Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank by the end of 2023.

Despite these changes, PGBank remains focused on achieving its financial goals for the year ahead. The bank aims to achieve a total net revenue of over 2,000 billion VND this year, with pre-tax profit expected to reach 554 billion VND and total assets anticipated to increase by more than 14%, reaching over 63,500 billion VND.
