During a Monday meeting, the LTHS Board of Education approved a contract with the Museum of Science and Industry to host Prom 2025. The estimated cost for 700 attendees is $99,064.96, which will be funded through ticket sales. Despite some concerns about transportation to Chicago, students have expressed a preference for holding prom at the museum.

In preparation for this upcoming event, the District will explore options for transporting students to the museum if necessary. For Prom 2024, 932 tickets were sold at $135 each, and it was held at Pheasant Run. However, the Museum of Science and Industry is one of the few venues in the Chicago area that can accommodate a prom of Lockport’s size, which can hold up to 1,000 students. Prior to this decision, the last prom held at the museum was approximately five years ago at Pheasant Run.
