In China, a revolutionary brain implant technology has been developed that allows a monkey to control a robotic arm using only its thoughts. The high-performance brain-computer interface (BCI) technology is based on a chip called Neucyber, which was independently developed by Chinese scientists, as reported by the Global Times newspaper.

The Neucyber chip consists of three components: high-capacity flexible microelectrodes, two high-speed neural signal acquisition devices, and a generative neural decoding algorithm. This technology involves capturing subtle changes in the brain’s electrical signals, decoding brain intentions, and achieving control over actions through thoughts.

One of the key features of the Neucyber chip is its implantable electrodes made from flexible materials. These electrodes reduce damage to the brain and ensure long-term stable signal acquisition. According to experts, the flexible electrode implanted in a monkey’s skull has been stable for nearly a year and continues to provide high-quality signals.

This groundbreaking technology offers hope for paralyzed individuals to potentially regain the ability to touch and grasp objects in the physical world in the future. The technology could have significant implications for individuals with disabilities and could revolutionize the way we interact with machines and technology.
