In Cairo, Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, has announced that the Ministry is developing plans to create a strategic reserve of essential commodities. During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, efforts to secure basic commodities and expand the strategic reserve were reviewed.

Al-Moselhi reported that wheat supply operations are currently at high levels, surpassing rates seen in the past three years. The ministry has a significant stock of wheat in place already. Additionally, the ministry has a reserve of oil and is working towards securing other important commodities for the strategic reserve.

The Minister emphasized the importance of these measures in ensuring a stable supply of essential goods for the people of Egypt. The government is taking proactive steps to address any potential shortages and maintain stability in the market. By increasing the size of the strategic reserve and securing key commodities, the Ministry aims to protect against any disruptions in the supply chain.
