The Sony World Photography Awards recently unveiled the winners of this year’s competition at a prestigious awards ceremony in central London. In attendance were established photographers, industry leaders, Sony representatives, and members of the press.

The winning photographs offer a unique perspective on the world, showcasing the beauty and diversity of our planet and its people. Each image tells a story, allowing viewers to embark on a journey of discovery and exploration.

Juliette Pavy was awarded the title of Photographer of the Year 2024 for her series Spiralkampagnen: Forced Contraception and Unintended Sterilisation of Greenlandic Women. Pavy received a $25,000 cash prize, Sony digital imaging equipment, and the opportunity to present her work at next year’s Sony World Photography Awards exhibition.
