Emily Hydrick, Nurse Manager at SGMC Health recently recognized Latrelle Tomlin, Certified Nurse Assistant, with the April Being Extraordinary Every day (BEE) Award. Tomlin, who works at Hospice of South Georgia and Langdale Hospice House, was praised for her positivity and teamwork. She has been a part of the health system for over 4 years and is known for stepping up to help cover weekend shifts when her coworkers need assistance. Tomlin also maintains a positive and flexible attitude when new processes are implemented at work.

The BEE Award is given monthly to staff members who play a crucial role in patient care, such as patient care technicians, nursing assistants, and medical assistants. The award criteria include qualities like compassion, teamwork, leadership, attitude, and skills and knowledge.
