The Cox Science Center and Aquarium is hosting ‘Tis the Season for Science, an annual event running from November 24th to January 7th. The center is open daily between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and visitors can expect a range of holiday activities during this time, such as “Let it Snow” Planetarium Shows, Laser Light Holiday Shows, Frigid Science Demonstrations, and Winter Wonder STEM activities. Admission to the event costs $24 for adults, $20 for children, $22 for seniors, and free for members. Visitors can explore the center’s hands-on educational exhibits, which include a 10,000-gallon aquarium, digital planetarium, Discovery Center for Pre-K children, conservation-themed Mini-Golf Course, and outdoor science trail. One of the standout displays at the center is the “Journey Through the Human Brain,” showcasing cutting-edge neuroscience research.

The Cox Amphitheater at the center hosts daily live science shows, seasonal laser shows, and special event programming. Recently, the center received a $20 million gift from Palm Beachers Howard and Wendy Cox, leading to a name change and plans for a transformative capital expansion campaign. Construction is set to begin in late summer 2023 with a completion target of 2026.
