A 54-year-old male Market Management official, part of a group involved in a traffic accident in Kon Tum, is currently in a coma due to a brain hemorrhage. Doctors at Cho Ray Hospital are working to save his life by transfusing blood, correcting coagulation disorders, and surgically removing hematomas. The patient suffered multiple injuries, including severe anemia, broken shoulder blades and ribs, and bleeding in many areas of the brain.

The case of this patient is the most serious among the 15 individuals transferred to Cho Ray Hospital following the accident in Kon Tum. Six patients with milder injuries have been discharged, while eight are being treated for Traumatic Brain Injury, Ear, Nose and Throat, and Orthopedics. Some patients required surgery for broken bones, while others are being monitored and treated conservatively.

One female patient treated at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat had heavy nose bleeding, broken nose bones, and head and face injuries. The patient is currently receiving treatment and may be discharged in 2-3 days. Another female patient in the Traumatic Brain Injury department is expected to be discharged soon if her condition remains stable. A male patient with fractures in the lower leg, forearm, and radius is being monitored for brain injuries prior to potential surgery.

The accident occurred when a car carrying a group of officials from the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department collided with a truck and fell into a sewer in Kon Tum, resulting in one fatality and 24 injuries. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
