During Penn State Health Children’s Week, a fundraising campaign held from April 8-14, 2024, generous gifts to Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital totaled $100,170. This success was celebrated with a check presentation at a Hershey Bears Game with the Miracle Family the Hortons, including Jeffrey Horton, Leidra Horton, Lex Horton, and Miracle Child Daisy Horton.

One family that benefitted from CMN’s Patient Assistance Endowment last year was the Yoders. Their son Joshua spent 18 days at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital battling a respiratory virus, and CMN’s support helped his mom, Jean Yoder, stay by his side and focus on his recovery. Jean expressed her gratitude for the funding through CMN’s Patient Assistance Endowment, which allowed her to have a hot meal and take care of herself while supporting Joshua during his hospital stay.

The assistance provided by CMN is not just financial but also emotional support for families facing challenges during difficult times. It is through the combined generosity of the CMN community and donors that families in need can be supported. The campaign sponsors for this fundraising effort include Ace Hardware, The GIANT Company, Woodstream, McClure Company
