The Small Business Majority has released a report highlighting the challenges faced by small business owners when it comes to child care. Over two-thirds of those surveyed expressed support for legislative action to make child care more affordable and accessible for working parents and employers.

FFYF Executive Sarah Rittling spoke out about the importance of addressing these challenges, stating that they are not only family issues but also business challenges. She emphasized the need for a variety of approaches to ensure all parents can find and afford the child care they need, and expressed a commitment to working with lawmakers and the Administration to expand policies and fund programs that support families.

The report found that small business owners believe policymakers need to take action on the cost of child care, with a majority supporting policy solutions to expand access and address costs. Additionally, polling from FFYF showed that most business owners agree that providing affordable, high-quality child care can lead to higher employee retention rates and ultimately benefit their businesses as well.
