32-year-old Brandon Roberts has been arrested for the shooting death of 26-year-old DeAndre Major outside a sports bar in North Lauderdale. The incident occurred in the early hours of March 24th in front of Player’s Sports Bar & Grill, located at 5280 N. State Road 7. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that Major and two other individuals had been injured in the shooting and were transported to different hospitals. Unfortunately, Major did not survive, while the other two individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

John MacLauchlan joined the CBSMiami.com digital team in February 2007. Detectives were able to identify Roberts as the suspected shooter, leading to the issuance of a warrant for his arrest. Roberts was apprehended on Friday, March 29th, and was booked into the county’s main jail on charges of first-degree murder with a firearm and attempted murder with a firearm. The Broward Sheriff’s Office made the announcement about Roberts’ arrest on their official website on Monday, March 31st.
