Houthi spokesman Yahya Sari reported several attacks on American and British warships in the Red Sea over the past three days. Additionally, two ships heading to Israel were targeted in the Gulf of Aden. Ambrey Maritime Security warned that a merchant ship was attacked 102 nautical miles off the coast of Yemen on April 7, advising other vessels to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) confirmed an attempted rocket attack on a merchant ship southwest of the Houthi-controlled Yemeni port of Hodeidah on April 6. Luckily, one missile was intercepted by US coalition forces ensuring maritime security, while the second missile fell harmlessly into the sea. Thankfully, neither the ship nor the crew were harmed during the attack.
