On March 28, 2024, a suspect was taken into custody for allegedly stealing from a business in Lake Hallie, Wisconsin. The incident occurred at a business on 118th Street in the village, and the business reported that over $4,500 worth of items, including semi-truck tire rims, were stolen.

Lake Hallie Police received the report and launched an investigation. They contacted local scrap yards with information on the stolen items and a description of the suspect’s vehicle. One scrap yard informed them that all the stolen items were at their location, leading detectives to identify the suspect as 21-year-old Andrew Charlesworth-White from Sand Creek.

Most of the stolen items were recovered from the scrap yard, and Charlesworth-White was arrested on suspicion of felony theft on April 4, 2024. He was then taken to the Chippewa County Jail. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of cooperation between law enforcement and local businesses to combat theft in the community.

The Lake Hallie Police Department is urging businesses to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately. They also encourage businesses to take steps to secure their premises by installing security cameras and alarms.

The community is grateful for the hard work of Lake Hallie Police in solving this case and bringing justice to those affected by theft. This incident highlights how important it is for law enforcement agencies and businesses to work together to keep communities safe from crime.
