University Enterprise Labs, a life science incubator nonprofit located in St. Paul, has appointed Brad Larmie as its executive director. The announcement was made on April 2, 2024. In his new role, Larmie will oversee operations, investment strategy, programs, and partnerships for the 150,000-square-foot facility.

Brad Larmie brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Children’s Minnesota, ChRi Laboratories, and Novartis. With a degree in biological sciences, he is excited to take University Enterprise Labs to the next level and contribute to Minnesota’s thriving life sciences ecosystem.

University Enterprise Labs offers laboratory spaces and scientific equipment for rent to companies in the biotech, medtech, tough tech, and agricultural tech fields. Since its establishment in 2005, the organization has supported more than 175 startup companies and currently hosts 65 tenant companies working on a variety of projects. Barbara Nelsen, Chair of the UEL Board, expressed her excitement about Brad Larmie leading University Enterprise Labs into its next phase. She highlighted the organization’s ambitious goals to foster Minnesota’s next generation of life sciences companies and support economic growth in the Twin Cities.

With over 35 wet, dry, and clinical labs for scientific research and development, University Enterprise Labs plays a vital role in advancing innovation in the life sciences industry. Brad Larmie’s appointment as executive director signifies a new chapter for this nonprofit as it continues to support startups and drive growth in this exciting field.
