From Local Reporter to International Scholar: The Inspiring Journeys of Louisville’s Youngest News Anchor and Harlaxton College Graduate

In Louisville, a WKU student is making waves as a news reporter. Schanie, a Broadcasting major with minors in Marketing and Political Science, has had a passion for reporting since third grade. Their dedication and hard work have allowed them to pursue their dream career.

An inspiring story comes from Brittany Moster Bergonzi, PhD, whose journey took her from Kentucky to the United Kingdom. Encountering a brochure from Harlaxton College was the spark that ignited her transformative experience. Her story is a testament to the power of curiosity, resilience, and seizing opportunities.

Meanwhile, the city has donated historic Shake Rag artifacts from the recovered Southern Queen Hotel to the WKU Special Collections Library. This generous donation will allow for these valuable items to be preserved and shared for generations to come.
