Get ready for some of the world’s toughest runners to take on the challenges of the 2024 World Athletics Cross-Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on March 30. The race will take place at Friendship Park, a relatively flat course with some unique obstacles like a hay maze and a short, steep blue hill. However, temperatures on race day are expected to reach around 80 degrees, adding an extra element of difficulty to the competition.

If you’re looking to watch the World Cross-Country Championships, you can catch the action live on CNBC from 6 to 9 a.m. ET. The event will also be live streamed on Peacock during the same time frame. Viewers outside of the U.S. can find broadcast details on the event’s official website.

In the women’s senior race, Beatrice Chebet of Kenya is the reigning champion and the favorite to win, though she faces tough competition from her compatriot Agnes Jebet Ngetich. Team USA will be represented by athletes like Weini Kelati, Allie Ostrander, and Katie Izzo. In the men’s senior race, Ugandan runners Jacob Kiplimo and Joshua Cheptegei will be favorites, with competition from Ethiopian Berihu Aregawi.
