Boise State University’s College of Health Sciences is bidding farewell to five esteemed faculty and staff members who are retiring in the spring of 2024. The campus community is invited to join in honoring these individuals for their hard work and dedication to the university.

Olgie Castillo has been a management assistant in the Department of Kinesiology for 16 years, while Shawn Dunnagan has served as a lecturer III in the School of Public and Population Health for 13 years. Tim Kempf, a clinical associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology, has dedicated 19 years to Boise State, while Shelle Poole, the divisional dean and clinical associate professor in the School of Nursing, has served for 13 years. Sarah Toevs, a professor in the School of Public and Population Health and the director of the Center for the Study of Aging, has contributed 24 years of service to Boise State University.

To celebrate their contributions, a retirement reception will be held on Tuesday, April 9 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Student Union’s Bishop Barnwell Room. These retirees have made lasting impacts on the College of Health Sciences and the university as a whole. Join us in celebrating their careers and wishing them well in their future endeavors.
