The Israeli Army has announced the death of Marwan Issa, a senior member of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) during an airstrike in Nuseirat refugee camp, located in the center of Gaza Strip. Issa was the ‘number two’ of Mohamed Deif, head of Ezzeldin al-Qassam Brigades – Hamas’ armed wing – and helped organize the attacks that killed over 1,200 people and left more than 240 hostages on October 7. His death was previously announced by Jake Sullivan, White House National Security Advisor.

Furthermore, another senior Hamas member, Commander Ghazi Abu Tamaa, head of combat and administrative assistance staff, was also killed in the same attack that took place on March 10 according to reports from ‘The Times of Israel’. This airstrike was launched by Israel as a response to the October 7 attacks. Since then, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported more than 32,300 Palestinians dead due to Israeli offensive plus more than 420 who were killed due to actions of security forces and Israeli settlers in West Bank and East Jerusalem.
